I describe myself as a Christian who is called by God to serve the church. I love Jesus. I was raised a Baptist and have served in Baptist churches as an ordained minister. I have an earned Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Union/PSCE in Richmond , VA. I am grateful for opportunities God has given me to serve and develop as a minister. I believe that the gifts God has given me include preaching, teaching, creativity and pastoral care. I am thankful for over twenty years of service in the Baptist church that have helped to develop and strengthen my gifts for service for God’s glory.

My first sermon was preached in a Methodist church after my step brother played Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer on the saxophone. I am a Christian who just happened to be Baptist, but now by choice and the grace of God, I am proud to be a United Methodist. I believe that God has been leading me in this direction for quite some time. I am grateful to finally be a part of a free and graceful family of faith. I have been overwhelmed with the warm welcome that I have received from my United Methodist brothers and sisters. Becoming Methodist truly seems for me like coming home.
